Help build the technical foundation for RedAPPL — a university AI control layer designed around identity, policy, academic context, and provider flexibility.
What you’ll work on
- Build and ship core RedAPPL product workflows
- Work across frontend, backend, and infrastructure
- Help shape technical architecture and product decisions
- Build integrations with university systems and AI providers over time
- Work closely with the founder on rapid product iteration
- Contribute to security, reliability, and scalability decisions from an early stage
What we’re looking for
- Strong full-stack engineering ability
- Comfort working in an early-stage environment
- Practical product judgment
- Ability to move quickly without sacrificing code quality
- Interest in AI infrastructure, education technology, or developer platforms
- Willingness to work across the stack rather than stay narrowly specialized
Technical direction
We’re building with Next.js and TypeScript, with a technical direction that includes:
